Youth on the Move for Christ Phase 2, often referred to as just Phase 2, was started over 6 years ago. Phase 2 is a branch off of the original group entitled Youth on the Move for Christ. The original Youth on the Move for Christ ministered all over the St. Louis area, and in cities across the United States gaining the awesome repuatation of a group on the field singing for the Lord.
As time progressed it was placed upon Vernell Warlick's (Scooter's) heart to begin the second phase of Youth on the Move for Christ. Scooter, Amber, and Amy formed what was then the first Youth on the Move for Christ Phase 2. They ministered for the first time together at the Bishop Dwight McDaniels Fellowshp Hall singing, "Total Priase." That was only the beginning.
Shortly thereafter Monique Reynolds joined Phase 2 and was a faithful and dedicated member until she was led by the Lord to pursue other avenues. Phase 2 has been blessed to sing with, back up, and open for many major recording gospel artists such as Kim Burrell, Judith Christine McCalister,Myron Butler, Kurt Carr, Meaghan Williams, Donnie McClurkin, Byron Cage and many more. They were also blessed with the opportunity to minister during the 100th Church of God in Christ Holy Convocation celebration and convocations thereafter, other conferences including the Church of God in Christ annual AIM (Auxilaries In Ministry) conference, and the About My Fathers Business conference. Phase 2 has been blessed to travel the United States singing in cities everywhere.
All singing members of Phase 2 belong to Life Center International Church of God in Christ under the leadership of 4th Administrative Assistant Dr. Elijah Hankerson and Co-Pastor Lady Rachel Hankerson. They are very active in their local church working in the music, youth, and ministerial departments.
In October of 2009 Phase 2 was elated to release their first full CD project entitled, "No More." Most of all, Phase 2 gives God all the glory and honor for the things He has done for the ministry. Phase 2 has become a testament that Holiness is not merely a lifestyle afforded to those that are "older", but can also be attained even in youth. Phase 2 has unflinchingly taken a stand of purity and righteousness in the midst of a Godless culture, declaring to the young and the old, that God saves to the utmost.
